Unusual Brass and Glass Omega Presentation Clock, c. 1937, gilt and black arabic numeral plates sandwiched between two 6-in. dia. tinted glass discs, bold gilt hands and central plaque movement marked "Omega/8 Days," stepped brass base engraved with eleven women's names and the date of June 19, 1937, wd. 7 1/8 in. Note: June 19th, 1937, is remembered for the "Woman's Day Massacre" in Youngstown, Ohio. Steel workers and their families were protesting labor laws and the anti-union establishment that was put in place by Republic Steel.
