Two Staffordshire Pearlware Pipes, England, c. 1800, each with Pratt-type underglaze enamels, one with Napoleon's head atop a scrolled stem, the bowl designed as a bird's head and beak feeding a sea creature, lg. 7 5/8; the other elaborately scrolled and coiled, the molded bowl with a child to either side, lg. 13 1/2 in. Estimate $1,200-1,800 Napoleon: Slight edge nicks; either tip of hat with slight chip. Snake: In very good condition throughout. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
