Set of Eight Macclesfield Side Chairs, England, late 18th/early 19th century, ash with rush seats, turned top rails, shaped slatted backs, turned front stretchers and legs ending in hoof feet, ht. 36, seat ht. 17 1/2, wd. 18 1/4, dp. 16 in. Estimate $400-600 Age expected wear to frames, new rush seats. One chair with crack in crest rail and minor losses to bottoms of front legs. Assembled set.
