Guy Pène du Bois (American, 1884-1958) Nude Woman Signed "Guy Pène du Bois" and dated indistinctly l. l., identified on a presentation plaque. Oil on canvas, 16 x 20 in. (40.6 x 50.8 cm), framed. Condition: Small patch reinforcement to l.l. quadrant to the reverse, craquelure. Estimate $1,000-1,500 Areas of thin pigment to the upper half, especially near edge. The patch is less than 1 inch and is to the center right. There is a tiny bit of retouch here too. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
