Carved Oak Coffer, probably England, 19th century incorporating earlier elements, five-panel top, with iron hinges, top rail carved with strapwork arabesque, front panels carved with stylized floral motifs in a geometric border, ht. 22 1/2, wd. 62 1/2, dp. 24 in. Estimate $200-300 Carving may be later, age cracks to top panels, probably reduced in height. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
