Small Celadon-glazed Drum-shape Box and Cover, China, Ming dynasty style, resting on three stylized animal head feet, decorated with two bands of nipple bosses, an openwork double coin on the cover, ht. 2 5/8 in. Provenance: From a Maine estate. Purchased from Warren E. Cox in 1973. Estimate $700-900 multiple firing cracks. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
