Small Satsuma Vase, Japan, Meiji period, elongated oviform with waisted neck and everted mouth and foot, decorated with an interior scene with courtesans against a millefleur ground above a landscape, illegible mark on base, ht. 4 7/8 in. Estimate $400-600 minor surface stain and gilt loss to mouth rim. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
