Pair of Small Satsuma Vases, Japan, Meiji period, each short baluster shape with waisted neck and rolled rim, on a short raised foot, decorated with figures, flowers, and butterflies in seven fan-shaped panels between two patterned bands, unsigned, ht. 3 1/2 in. Estimate $300-500 minor glazing flaws and gilt loss to mouth rim, taping remnants to bases. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
