Gandharan Stucco Buddha Head, Kushan, possibly 4th/5th century, the finely carved head with heavily lidded eyes and arching brows, wavy hair with pronounced topknot, ht. 8 in. Provenance: Purchased in Karachi in the 1960s by an Edward Durell Stone architect, then by descent to the present owner.
