Kyoto Kinkozan Satsuma Vase, Japan, late 19th century, double gourd form with a flaring floral mouth, depicting butterflies and flowers with a millefleur drapery in the middle, "Dai Nippon Kyoto Kinkozan sei" mark on base, ht. 16 5/8 in. Estimate $300-500 minor potting flaws, surface stain with taping residues to mouth interior, gilt loss to some areas. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
