Unbo Kim Ki-Chang (1913-2001) Genre Painting, Korea, mid-20th century, based on the Napnyang manheung from the genre painting album by Hyewon Shin Yun-bok (1758-1814), with the musicians in different poses and composition, signed "Hyewon jak, bang Unbo" with a seal reading "Kim Ki-chang in," ink and light color on paper, framed and glazed, sight size 11 3/8 x 15 3/4 in. Provenance: Reputedly given to an American businessman in Korea in the 1950s; by descent to his nephew; gifted to a friend of the nephew; and gifted to the present owner in 2018. Estimate $800-1,000 minor spotty stain to paper, minor buckling, three chips to frame. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
