Apworth "Ap" Adams (American, 20th Century) Warrior on Horseback in Winter. Signed and dated "Ap Adams/0·7" l.r., label from Suder's Art Store, Cincinnati, Ohio, affixed to the frame backing paper. Gouache on paper/board, sight size 11 3/4 x 17 5/8 in., framed. Condition: Water stain or similar along lower edge, not examined out of frame. N.B. Ap Adams was a comic strip artist for the Cincinnati Enquirer during at least the first two decades of the 20th century. Estimate $400-600 Framed dimensions are 22 x 28 in. Frame backing paper is inscribed "Happy Anniversary/ Love/Sam/July 9th, 1983." Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
