Mocha Pearlware and Engine-turned Pint Mug, attributed to Wood & Caldwell, Burslem, Staffordshire, England, c. 1800, the vertical engine-turned ribs bordered by bands of blue and olive slip, reeded handle with pronounced foliate terminals, ht. 4 3/4 in. Provenance: The Jonathan Rickard Collection. Exhibitions: Mocha Mania, Dewitt Wallace Gallery, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, Virginia, 1993-1994. Note: Wood & Caldwell maintained a Boston office in the late 18th/early 19th century. Estimate $150-250 Three cracks in the rim, one extending nearly to the base, reattached loss associated with the longest crack.
