Attributed to John Ramage (New York/Canada, 1748-1802) Miniature Portrait of a Man in a Blue Jacket Signed and dated "IR/1792" above the man's right shoulder. Watercolor on ivory, 2 1/8 x 1 3/4 in., in a gilt pin-back frame with scalloped bright-cut border. Condition: Small spot of pigment interruption at lower edge of jacket. Note: The signature is somewhat indistinct with the "R" being rather light. Estimate $2,000-4,000 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
