Needlework Sampler "Eunice Jenkins," East Bloomfield, New York, 1839, worked in silk threads on a linen ground, with two-part geometric and floral border on three sides surrounding an upper register of a church, tree, and pious verse, above the maker's name, date, and town, and lower register showing a house and outbuildings among trees, (toned, some fading, very minor losses), 14 x 16 1/4 in. , framed and matted. Estimate $600-800 minor losses in the "grass" areas. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
