Walnut Armchair, Pennsylvania, mid-18th century, the scratch-beaded serpentine crest with flared terminals above shaped stiles and a vasiform splat, outward-scrolling arms on shaped supports, and trapezoidal slip seat on shaped rails joining frontal cabriole legs ending in pad feet, old refinish, (crack to splat), ht. 39 3/4, seat ht. 16 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 seat frame appears original but has new corner brackets to stabilize, small crack to upper part of splat. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
