Large Turned Burl Bowl and Carved Ladle, America, 19th century, the bowl with bead rim, the ladle with large bowl and straight handle, bowl dia. 19 in. Estimate $500-700 chips to edge of ladle; roughness, losses, and chips to edge of bowl, many of which are worn smooth; bowl refinished on outside and partially refinished on inside. Interior of bowl bottom an old dry surface with green discoloration. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
