Two Mettlach Pottery Steins and a Flagon, late 19th century, a 1/2-liter stein with engraved pewter lid mounts, body with landscape scene signed "Wurth" and dated 1886; 1-liter stein with scenes of revelry; and large light blue-bodied flagon with raised designs; ht. to tops of pewter thumbholds 9, 9 3/4, 13 in., respectively. Estimate $400-600 larger stein: minor moisture staining, tight rim hairlines, 1/2 x 1/4 in. chip to underside of foot, minor play in thumbpiece connection, small bend to thumbpiece. smaller stein: minor play in thumbpiece connection, otherwise good.
