Inlaid Mahogany Card Table, Massachusetts, c. 1800, top with banded edge, elliptical front, square corners, and half-serpentine ends on a conforming skirt with diamond banded lower edge and inlaid urns of flowers in the dies joining double tapering legs, old varnished surface, (repairs), ht. 29 1/2, wd. 35, dp. 17 3/4 in. Provenance: Purchased from C.W. Lyon, Inc., New York, in 1945 (bill of sale affixed to underside). Note: The table is stamped "B LAMSON" on an underside support. Estimate $400-600 finish in need of improvement, swing leg repaired at top.
