Early Red-painted Chest over Drawer, possibly Massachusetts, early 18th century, the top with cleated ends opens above a well, the case with applied molding outlining two faux drawers and a working side-hung drawer, on cutout bracket base, the front edges of the brackets shaped, (imperfections and restoration), ht. 33 1/2, wd. 41 1/2, dp. 20 in. Estimate $1,000-1,500 back edge of top pieced 2-3 inches all the way across, replacement butt hinges, missing till.
