Four Mennonite Quilts, Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada, c. 1910-40, a Trip Around the World/Sunshine and Shadow pattern quilt; a Sawtooth Diamond quilt, the center with a light green snowflake within two light green squares against a violet background; a Nine Patch Chain quilt with red "chains" against a light blue background and dark blue printed border; and a Trip Around the World quilt with a large square and four smaller square patterns within a light blue printed border, lg. to 83, wd. 63 in. Provenance: The Trip Around the World/Sunshine and Shadow quilt was made by Mrs. Lovina Bowman, near Three Bridges, Ontario; the Sawtooth Diamond quilt is from the family of Clifford and Seleda Martin, near Alma, Ontario; the Nine Patch Chain quilt was acquired from Levi Martin, Sr., near Elmira, Ontario; and the Trip Around the World quilt from Joseph Metzger, Elmira, Ontario.
