Tiger Maple Tall Chest of Six Drawers, probably Massachusetts, late 18th century, molded cornice above thumb-molded drawers and bracket base, replaced brasses, refinished, ht. 53 1/2, case wd. 37, case dp. 17 in. Provenance: A Cornwall, Connecticut, Collector. Estimate $1,500-2,500 6 inch crack to one side following the grain, beginning at the dovetailed drawer divider, other smaller shrinkage cracks as well.
