Two Civil War-era Pocketknives, a knife with a wooden grip, carved on one side "II. II.II 1863," and a knife with a brass grip, carved on one side "Pvt. L. AMES UNION FOREVER" with a central shield, and on the opposite side "71sT VOL." Provenance: The collection of Nicholas A. Penachio. Estimate $150-250 Wood griped knife has a rusty blade, brass griped knife has some patina on the grip.
