Thomas Stafford (American, b. 1930), Eugene Cernan (American, 1934-2017), or John Young (American, b. 1930) Panoramic view of the lunar farside horizon over crater Keeler, Apollo 10, May 1969. Numbered 'NASA AS10-32-4790' (NASA MSC) in black on the recto u.l. Mosaic of three vintage gelatin silver prints, overall size 13 x 9 in. (32.9 x 22.7 cm), unmatted. Condition: Minor wear to corners of sheet, subtle chemical inconsistencies u.l. of first image. N.B. The heavy shadows, caused by the low sun elevation, give an indication of the roughness of this far side region and accentuate its topographic features. Keeler's central peak (left of picture) is easily visible—its terraces are distinctly step-like in appearance (NASA SP-246). The additional NASA negative numbers are AS10-32-4791 and AS10-32-4792.
