Two Knives, c. mid-19th century, a knife with a pearl grip and German silver fittings, marked on the ricasso "EDWARD/BARNES/& SONS," and a knife with a German silver grip, steel blade marked "John Smith/LOWELL," with a red morocco scabbard and German silver throat and tip. Provenance: The collection of Nicholas A. Penachio. Estimate $1,000-1,500 Both in good condition, the Barnes knife is missing the scabbard.
