5th New York "Duryee Zouaves" Veteran's Medal, c. late 19th century, silver Maltese cross, engraved "NY/VOL/VET ASSN/DURYEE/ZOUAVES" with a raised silver "5" in the middle, with a pin on the back, ht. 1 9/16 in. Provenance: The collection of Nicholas A. Penachio. Estimate $300-500 Originally had suspension loops at the top, but replaced with a pin back. In overall very good condition with some light patination.
