Thomas Gardner Brass Lantern Clock for the Turkish Market, London, c. 1765, the arched dial with maker's boss in the arch engraved "Thos. Gardner/London," applied chapter ring with "Turkish" numerals, matted center and pierced steel hands, cast brass spandrels complete the dial, posted frame, thirty-hour verge escapement rope-drive movement with countwheel strike on a bell mounted above the movement supported by frets with Turkish symbolism, two side doors and wall spikes out the back, ht. 14 in.
