Raingo Freres Gilt and Glazed Mantel Clock, Paris, c. 1870, architectural flat-top case with egg-and-dart molding above the glazed front panel with suspended ribbon, and acanthus leaf garland decoration, engine-turned bezel surrounding the bold 7-in. roman numeral convex porcelain dial reading "Raingo Fres Paris," fleur-de-lis gilt half-hour markings, and engraved pierced gilt hands, resting on the base with inset central and side friezes depicting frolicking cherubs, on variegated maroon marble base, eight-day, time and strike movement with steel suspension, and regulated by a star-burst pendulum stamped "320," back plate stamped "Raingo Fres Paris 320," ht. 21 in.
