Gilbert No. 4 Regulator, Winstead, Connecticut, c. 1881, walnut and rosewood veneered case with a carved bust in arch, full-length arch-top glazed waste door, 8-in. roman numeral paper dial with seconds bit, eight-day time-only movement with a deadbeat escapement, silvered beat scale on case bottom, wood rod with a silvered-faced pendulum bob, ht. 53 in. Estimate $300-400 original finish and dial, original nickel plated weight was just found, case top and bottom finial off but present, object right glass panel cracked horizontally.
