Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Contract Flintlock Musket, c. 1797-98, walnut stock with iron fittings, lock marked on the tail "CP" and "MILES," top of the barrel at the breech marked "CP" and "75 REGIMT," and a Liberty cap over "P" proof mark, barrel lg. 44, overall lg. 59 1/2 in. Estimate $1,000-1,500 Iron parts are a plum color, stock has a few dings and nicks, and the lock needs sear work.
