Committee of Safety-style Flintlock Musket, c. 1770s, walnut stock with brass fittings, no lock markings, marked on the breech "US" and with "SS" mark on the left side of the barrel and just below it on the stock, marked with an "M" under the brass side plate and on the ramrod nose, barrel lg. 41 7/8, overall lg. 57 1/2 in.
