STARR & SON/U.S," barrel dated "1840" on the tang with proof marks on the left side, barrel lg. 36, overall lg. 51 1/2 in. Estimate $400-600 Some dings and nicks in the stock, some pitting on the butt plate and around the nipple, nipple broken off, rifling is intact, and the lock functions properly.
