Jadeite Bead Necklace, the double strand necklace composed of 107 beads graduating in size from approx. 4.30 to 9.50 mm, completed by an Art Deco platinum and diamond clasp, lg. 16 1/4 in. Note: Accompanied by GIA report no. 2195285817, dated April 12, 2018, stating that the beads are jadeite jade, natural color, no indications of impregnation. Provenance: According to family history, this necklace belonged to Susan Channing Cabot Lyman (1864-1951). The jade beads were purportedly selected on a tour of China in the early 20th century and then assembled into a necklace by Boston jeweler Firestone & Parson. Estimate $2,000-3,000 Center stone in clasp approx. 0.50 cts.
