Non-regulation Foot Officer's Sword, c. 1861-65, pierced-steel hilt with an eagle, "US," and a wire-wrapped shagreen grip, steel blade with an arrow and circular disc marked "PROOFED" on the ricasso, steel blade with foliate designs, an eagle, and "US," and a steel scabbard, blade lg. 32 3/4, overall lg. 37 3/4 in. Provenance: The collection of Don Troiani. Estimate $300-500 In overall good condition with some patination on the hilt and scabbard, blade is in good condition with no rust and a few small nicks on the blade.
