English, 19th century. Carolean style armchair composed of stained oak carved with nude figures flanking crown at top rail of back with rectangular leather back splat panel with tacking nail head accents within pierced scrolled foliate and crown border, barley twist supports on side, acanthus leaf scrolled arms above trapezoidal seat with leather seat with nail head border. Seat supported on barley twist and block supports joined by barley twist stretcher support and accented with S scroll and crown at front. Approximate height 46.5", width 24.5", depth 22.75", seat to floor 16.5".
