June 23rd 1868," with a 12-in. steel rule; and a fruitwood body instrument with brass-faced pivot joint with a folding wood arm engraved with degrees of angles, bubble level, steel marking arm, and small plumb bob housed in a compartment on outer edge, lg. 12 to 16 in.
