Early Georgian Britannia Standard Silver Tankard, London, first half 18th century, indistinct maker's marks, with flat lid and upright thumb-piece, ht. 7 1/4 in., approx. 24.2 troy oz. Estimate $1,500-2,500 Later chased decoration throughout, engraving removal to cartouche (faint outline still visible, though silver surface is still strong), handle with shallow dent, age-typical surface wear.
