Large Papier-mache Painted and Lacquered Book Binding, Persia, Qajar dynasty, in the manner of Mirza agha Emami (1881-1995) depicting a central court scene with figures in a lobed medallion against an embellished ground with arabesque design, bordered with a broad band depicting figures with flora and fauna between two bands in black with gilt floral decoration, framed, 28 1/4 x 19 1/4 in. Estimate $3,000-5,000 allover surface craquelure, minor loosening from frame, otherwise in good condition.
