Two Engine-turned and Slip-decorated Mugs, England, early 19th century, one with ochre slip body with rust slip bands and dark brown slip filled engine-turned and rouletted bands, the other green slip body engined-turned to create a checkerboard pattern, (imperfections), ht. to 5 7/8 in. Estimate $100-200 small mug is with a repair to the handle, a large crack next to it, and losses and abrasions to the glaze. The larger mug is with hairlines and cracks throughout, loss to the base, and a chip to the rim interior.
