Anglo/American School, 19th Century Romantic Landscape with Soldiers and Travelers. Signed or inscribed and dated "S.F.M.../1892" in ink on a fragmentary label on the stretcher, inscribed "Miller" in pencil on brown paper tape affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 19 3/4 x 36 3/8 in., framed. Condition: Lined, patch reinforcement, scattered retouch, scattered minor paint losses and abrasions, varnish discoloration, fine craquelure.
