$7,380
Mahogany Serpentine Chest of Drawers, probably north shore of Massachusetts, c. 1760-80, the overhanging top with molded edge on a conformingly shaped cockbeaded case of drawers on a bold ogee bracket base centering a shell-carved drop pendant, old replaced brasses, refinished, ht. 33 1/2, case wd. 35, overall dp. 20 1/4 in. Estimate $3,000-5,000 back edge of top with extra overhang, presumably to accommodate a chair rail, each foot with an added inch or so - though there do not appear to be any losses.
