Federal Mahogany and Bird's-eye Maple Veneer Inlaid Card Table, Boston, c. 1805-10, serpentine top with ovolo corners and lunette-inlaid edge above a conformingly shaped skirt of bird's-eye panels framed by crossbanding and checkered lines, all joining turned and reeded legs, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 30. wd. 37, dp. 19 1/2 in. Provenance: The estate of Bruce A. Buxton, Portland, Maine. Estimate $2,500-3,500 old breaks/repairs at the top of one front leg, and at the top of the swing leg. Repair to front leg has led to loss of lunette inlay. One glue block replaced.
