Slip-decorated Mustard or Marmalade Pot, England, late 18th/early 19th century, the body decorated with ochre slip and a dark brown slip-filled rouletted bands at the top, strap handle with foliate terminals, lid with ball knop, old note on bottom of pot reads: "MUSTARD POT/owned by S. Bailey's/grandmother Bailey/who died in 1793/aged 46," ht. 3 1/2 in. Estimate $250-350 Three 1/4 in. hairline cracks in rim, lid knop is repaired.
