Two Pique-decorated Ivory and Malacca Canes, England, late 17th century, one's top decorated with pique scroll and dot pattern with initials and date "IB/97," engraved silver band where top joins shaft, brass ferule and iron tip; the other's top decorated with pique tulip and dot decoration with the initials "TR," engraved silver band where the top joins the shaft, brass ferule and iron tip, lg. to 36 1/4 in. Provenance: Michael C. German, London. Note: Lot includes original CITES certificate documenting the legal importation of these canes in 1999.
