High-back Windsor Armchair, Newport, Rhode Island, 1765-70, with concave shaped cresting, scrolling handholds, vase- and ring-turned spindles, arm supports, and legs with turned spools joined by turned cross-stretchers, old black paint with gilt striping, (restored), ht. 44 1/2, seat ht. 17 1/2 in.
