Letter from John Edwards to George W. William, Esq., December 1824, regarding "hiring negro boys to make cigars." Note: John Edwards (1748-1837) was an American planter and statesman who was instrumental in Kentucky statehood. He represented the state in the United States Senate and afterward served in both houses of the state legislature. He died on his plantation in Paris, Kentucky.
