$2,829
Dutch School, 18th Century Market Square Unsigned. Oil on panel, 8 1/8 x 11 3/4 in. (21.0 x 30.0 cm), framed. Condition: Top edge of panel probably trimmed, because there is no bevel along the top of the reverse, minor retouch to sky, fine craquelure. N.B. This painting was probably created in the 18th century, most likely in the southern Netherlands. At that time, there was a popular demand for works similar to those painted in the 17th-century style. These were often produced by workshops centered in Antwerp and can rarely be specifically attributed. We would like to thank Ellis Dullaart of the RKD for assisting with this lot.
