Max Kuehne (American, 1880-1968) Sailing Signed "Kuehne" l. l. Oil on panel, 7 1/4 x 9 1/2 in. (18.5 x 24.0 cm), framed. Condition: Surface grime. Provenance: A Massachusetts estate. Estimate $800-1,200 Framed dimensions: 11 1/2 x 13 in. Modern Guido gold leaf frame. Some possible varnish discoloration in the sky. Three small surface divots l.c. which appear to be original to the panel. Paint surfaces are heavily built up and somewhat rough, particularly in the water. The panel has a rough surface on the reverse.
