Two George II Sterling Silver Toddy Ladles, London, each with turned handles, one with shell-form bowl with engraved armorial and monogram, 1745-46, by Philip Goddard, lg. 11 1/2, and one chased with various fruit and birds, 1749-50, by William Gwillim, lg. 14 1/2 in., approx. 4.2 troy oz. total. Estimate $400-600 Goddard ladle with light abrasions, small area of lead solder around joint to handle. Gwillim ladle with small chipped loss to handle at joint and probable engraving removal to bowl (surface strong, with halo to exterior).
