Six George II/III Sterling Silver Skewers, each London, with engraved armorials, three poultry skewers with shell terminals, 1764-65, by Samuel Herbert & Co. , lg. 5 3/4; and three meat skewers: one with engraved armorial, 1750-51, by Ebenezer Coker, another with shell joint, 1766-67, with worn maker's mark, the third 1768-69, by John Lampfert, lg. to 12 7/8 in., approx. 11.4 troy oz. total. Estimate $200-400 Poultry lg. 5 5/8, meat lg. 11 1/2, 12 1/4, and 12 7/8 in. All with age-typical surface wear. Meat skewer with shell joint with area of pitting (probable engraving removal) to front, small loss to tip, and several deeper abrasions/nicks to surface.
